Hillsdale Golf Club announces key leadership appointments
Dear members,
I’m pleased to announce the club has hired two industry leaders to position the club through its ambitious evolution in the years to come. This is an exciting step to helping craft a world-class member experience at the club.
Guy Prevost, previously the General Manager at Ottawa Hunt, will help lead the club as its General Manager, while Quebec golf legend Remi Bouchard is taking on the role of Director of Golf. Eric Ward will continue as Superintendent, and Eric Mercier will remain the club’s Head Professional.
I’m confident Guy and Remi will help lead Hillsdale through the upcoming changes and help foster an environment of excellence throughout the club. Guy has a long history of working with the best clubs in Canada, while Remi’s track record as a player and golf professional speaks for itself. Eric Ward has been part of Hillsdale for the past few years and is an essential component of the upcoming golf course renovation. Eric Mercier plays a vital role in golf operations and creating member engagement. The club is better for having these individuals in its leadership team.
Guy is a chartered professional accountant and a Certified Club Manager. He guided Ottawa Hunt through the pandemic and helped lead a successful CP Women’s Open at the club and some significant club projects. He was formerly at Royal Ottawa in Gatineau and spent nine years at Beaconsfield as General Manager. In August, Guy was named “club manager of the year” by the Club Management Association of Canada. With family ties to the Montreal region, I know Guy is thrilled to be back in the area and looking forward to leading Hillsdale through its upcoming changes.
Remi is a member of the Quebec Golf Hall of Fame and was most recently the Head Professional at Laval-sur-le-Lac. The most successful player from Quebec in the last quarter century, he’s a former President of PGA of Quebec’s Board of Directors and a noted instructor who also held positions with Golf Canada. He’s excited to be part of the transition at Hillsdale and to help create a truly magnificent golf experience at the club.
This is an exciting time at Hillsdale, and having great industry leaders is key to the club’s next steps.
Yours sincerely,
Herb Black,
President
